Meet Jessie, the owner and lead planner behind According to Plan.

Wedding planning became personal for me in 2015 while planning my own rustic wedding, and by 2017 I had turned that love for meaningful, well-organized celebrations into According to Plan. That experience still shapes my work today: helping couples feel calm, supported, and genuinely present on their wedding day.

Since then, I have had the joy of planning celebrations ranging from black-tie events to relaxed beach weddings and meaningful gatherings across Fort Worth and the DFW area. No two weddings are the same, and that is one of my favorite parts of this work.

What Drives Me

I believe a wedding should feel like the couple at the center of it. My role is not to push my own style, chase every trend, or make your day look like everyone else's. My focus is on listening closely, understanding what matters most to you, and helping bring together a celebration that feels personal, thoughtful, and true to your relationship.

Behind every beautiful wedding are hundreds of details: timelines, vendor conversations, family questions, floorplans, setup needs, and last-minute decisions. I love bringing order to those moving pieces so you can enjoy the people, moments, and meaning of the day.

My Planning Approach

Couples often come to me because they want someone who is organized, steady, and practical, but still warm and easy to talk to. I care about the pretty details, but I care just as much about whether the day flows well, whether your vendors know where to be, whether your family feels informed, and whether you feel taken care of.

Whether you need full planning, partial planning, or wedding day management, my goal is to make the process feel less overwhelming and more manageable from the first conversation to the final send-off.

A Little More About Me

Outside of weddings, my favorite days are usually the simple ones: spending time with my husband, our son and daughter, and our dog, reading when I get a quiet moment, watching movies together, or playing outside with the kids. I also love to travel and have been lucky enough to visit some incredible places internationally, with Vernazza, Italy being one of my favorites. Those pieces of my life are part of why I care so much about weddings feeling personal, meaningful, and centered around the people who matter most.
